From September 9th-14th, 2014, Gottingen will be alive with music, art and heritage events.

Starting with the opening of the Gottingen 250’s community radio and participatory media broadcast from North Branch Library on Tuesday, September 9th at 10AM, 106.9GotAVoiceFM will broadcast stories, music and news from the street until the festival wraps on September 14th.

Indoor events on Thursday and Friday night will span music, history and education.

The main event will be Saturday, September 13th – an outdoor stage will be erected at 2183 Gottingen (oriented towards Maitland Street) and Maitland Street will be closed for the whole day.

Music from a number of cultures and groups will fill the air, and an open air market featuring hot and cold food vendors, crafters, food trucks, and local entrepreneurs will be established. As well, the grassy area of St. Patrick’s Alexandria will be used for programming oriented for children and families hosted by Hope Blooms.

Sunday, September 14th will feature an outdoor multi-denominational church service and Community Choir, followed by a pig roast and community barbecue.

11:00 – 1:00 am – DJ Dance Party IV and Amazona Sounds
